The Hallo Water Pistol is definitely a "blaster from the past". It appears to have been made by a German company known as WUM; WUM also appears to have made and/or sold actual firearms. The Hallo Water Pistol appears in their 1932 catalog (see: https://www.gunauction.com/buy/10206982).
From the description of how to load and use the “Hallo” Pistol, it sounds more like this water blaster is a syringe/piston-type mechanism on its inside as opposed to a rubber bladder.
From Jose L., owner of a Hallo Water Pistol and provider of these images, notes: "The water gun works surprisingly well. Holds more water than I thought it would and offers a powerful stream. 5" in length and weighs 51 grams. I've also added a few more photos taken in better light."
At present, a working model is unavailable for testing here at iSoaker.com. However, we would like to thank Jose L. for providing us some information and these great pictures of the Hallo Water Pistol.
Pros
Decent styling; sturdy build; simple operation; still functional despite being over 80 years old
Cons
Rather small; limited water capacity; very hard to find.
