The Super Soaker EES Sonic is the smallest of the EES series of Super
Soakers; EES is an acronym for Enhanced
Electronic Soakage. Unlike its larger brethren, the EES Sonic is piston-based like other Power Soaker blasters. The
advantage of using this technology is that this blaster can actually output
a good strength stream despite its smaller form-factor. It also means that the
reservoir is not pressurized as is the case with the Super Soaker EES Tempest and Super Soaker EES Turbine.
The pump on the EES Sonic
has a good feel to it. This blaster pushes out the same volume per pump as the
average CPS blaster. Of course, each pump makes the blaster fire, but the stream
achieved can be rather impressive for a blaster this size. The trigger on the
EES Sonic is purely for activating the blasters sound effects; sounds are
a strange futuristic-bubbly-liquid-type sound effects. The sound effect feature
does not offer any battlefield advantage (except, perhaps, making one's foes
break down laughing). Thankfully, the stream produced by the EES Sonic is quite
good and makes this blaster a decent sidearm.
Overall, the Super Soaker EES Sonic is really only recommendable as a backup blaster or for small skirmishes. The fact that it uses Power Soaker technology means one can pull off shots quickly, but one cannot fire a continuous stream. If the EES Sonic is one's main blaster, beware of any soaker larger than a Super Soaker XP 55.
Pros
Small, light, easy to carry. Power Soaker piston-based shooting produced a nice, solid stream. Reservoir holds a decent amount of water for a blaster this size.
Cons
Trigger and sound effects mostly useless. This soaker also tends to be on the more expensive side due to the added electronics. Can be outclassed by most other soakers on the market.

Review:
This gun is extremely under-rated in my opinion. It makes a excellent side-arm because it's small and light, but it packs quite a punch, making it great for when you're trying to get back to the hose to fill up your primary weapon. The sound effects are useless, so it's not worth putting the batteries in. Overall, I rate this gun 9/10. It's one of the best Piston based blasters I've ever used.
