The Nerf Super Soaker Domination Drum a new accessory for the 2013 Nerf Super Soaker line. It is basically the same reservoir as originally featured on the Nerf Super Soaker Lightningstorm, but sold separately. This allows those who do not have the Nerf Super Soaker Lightningstorm, but have other Nerf Super Soaker water blasters that use their clip system to have a larger, swappable reservoir.

nerf_super_soaker_dominationdrum_box01_100The Reservoir ::

TheNerf Super Soaker Lightningstorm features a forward-mounted "large"-capacity water drum reservoir with a small screw-on cap. This reservoir is a larger version of the swappable Nerf Super Soaker Clip System Canister used on the 2011 Nerf Super Soaker Thunderstorm; the water drum holds nearly 4.5 times the amount of water in the Nerf Super Soaker Clip System Canister. Paired with this blaster's low output, the Nerf Super Soaker Lightningstorm should able to produce a continuous stream beyond 60 seconds. The water drum is filled by unscrewing the cap on its upper side and the entire drum can be removed from the blaster for easier filling from smaller sinks. Of course, the water drum is also compatible with any Nerf Super Soaker water blaster that accepts the Nerf Super Soaker Clip System Canister.

Pros

Increased water capacity water drum. Works with all Nerf Super Soaker water blasters that use the Clip System.

Cons

Somewhat awkward to hold when filling. Not really recommendable to attach to one's pants when full.

Review:

I recently invested in some soakers for my nieces and nephews I bought a few switchshots, some Arctic Shocks and some Thunderstorms. as well as several 20 oz and 37 oz canisters. The new canister system is actually pretty awesome, and here is why. I can reload for the little kids while they play= less downtime, and (and this is the big thing) every canister fits into 5 gallon pail easily and can be reloaded from a 5 gallon pail down to about 1.5 gallons. this is much faster than the hose and if capped underwater gives perfect fills every time. I have 6 domination drums and I can refill them all in about 2 minutes, and keep the kids playing. that being said the best canister I have found is the Arctic Shock canister, I bought another 2 Arctic Shocks simply for it, it's not too heavy for the kids, due to its wide mouth and I can reload the canister in 1 second via bucket fill.
