The Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Dreadshot is a new model by Hasbro Inc. for the 2015 Nerf Super Soaker line. It features 2 sets of forward-facing nozzles powered by its forward-mounted pump. Despite what the graphic on the front of the Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Dreadshot's box shows, it is NOT possible to blast this water blaster single-handedly.
The Blaster ::
Nozzles ::
The Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Dreadshot features two (2) sets of three nozzles. Each set is in an equilateral triangle formation. All nozzles blast with the pull of the pump. There is no specific way to select which nozzle or nozzle set are active, thus all six nozzles will blast every time. However, we have not tested how wide the streams spread when active.
Pump ::
The Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Dreadshot features a forward-mounted pump and it is presumed to perform similarly to the Nerf Super Soaker Freezefire (2014)
Grip ::
The trigger and grip area on the Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Dreadshot, akin to the current other Nerf Super Soaker models, appears to be well moulded and quite comfortable to hold. However, the camoflaged button switch which activates the "glowing reservoir" feature is positioned on the back side of the grip where the skin between one's thumb and index finger would be while holding this blaster. It should also be noted that, to make the reservoir glow, this requires three (3) AAA batteries. As such, this switch may make this water blaster less comfortable to hold in the long run since this added bump may run/chafe against one's skin, particular if one's hands get wet during battle.
Reservoir ::
The Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Dreadshot holds a decent amount of water in its reservoir. The reservoir is sealed by a tethered cap.
Overall ::
In the end, the Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Dreadshot is an interesting, multi-nozzle blaster. While pump-action with a lighted reservoir, its nozzle configuration may prove interesting. As such, further testing is likely planned on this item once it gets a little warmer outside.
Pros
Nice styling; multiple nozzles provide increased soaking area coverage
Cons
Light-up reservoir serves no practical use and needs 3 AAA batteries to work; being pump-action, continuous streams not possible
