The Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Revenge Infector is a new pump-action water blaster by Hasbro Inc. for 2017. For a pistol-sized water blaster, it is actually larger than expected and produces a decent stream, though being pump-action only, its shot time is rather short. Its reservoir is accessed via a quarter-turn tethered cap. Unfortunately, the air hole placed in the cap to allow air to enter when water is drawn into the pump can dribble when the blaster is held at certain angles.
While the styling of the Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Revenge Infector is creative and zombie-themed, its actual performance lags. While the Infector's potential output is ok, for a pistol-sized water blaster, the model tested suffered from extreme pump lag preventing rapid multiple successive streams. As such, the functional output is perhaps 50% or even only 30% of the measured output. Good for small skirmishes or as a back-up water blaster, the Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Revenge Infector is readily outclassed by most similar and larger pump-action water blasters as well as nearly any pressurized water blaster.
