The Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Ripstorm is a pump-action water blaster released by Hasbro Inc. for 2018. It is somewhat reminiscent of the 2004 Super Soaker Hydro Blade. Like the Hydro Blade, the Ripstorm features a "wheel" that can be placed into the path of the stream in order to create a novel spray pattern (and causing the wheel to spin). Unlike the Hydro Blade, the Ripstorm is pump-action, not air-pressure. Moreover, the "saw blade" must be manually toggled up and down depending on whether one wishes to use it or not (the Hydro Blade's wheel was spring-loaded to activate, but had to be manually pulled back to its storage state). Lastly, the Ripstorm's "wheel" is made of molded plastic while the Hydro Blade's wheel was actually made of dense foam.
Due to its limited usefulness in water combat, our Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Ripstorm is going to remain boxed and not further tested. As such, only limited statistics were measured. Likely functional for casual water fights, the Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Ripstorm is likely outclassed by most larger pump action as well as virtually all pressurized water blasters.
