The Nerf Super Soaker XP 100 is new water blaster for 2020 by Hasbro Inc. based on the original Super Soaker SS 100 (1991). While sharing similar shape and styling, there are some notable differences. Unlike the original, the XP 100's reservoir only requires a partial turn to lock or unlock from the blaster. The reservoir bottle, itself, is flattened on either side as opposed to being fully cylindrical in its center. The XP 100's separate pressure chamber is also flattened on its left and right sides.
At present, this particular Nerf Super Soaker XP 100 remains boxed, thus little else is known about its performance. Whether or not this water blaster will be tested further remains uncertain. 2020 has been a rather challenging year in many respects, thus I may revisit this water blaster in 2021, hopefully, when things are better.

Super Soaker XP 100
The Super Soaker XP 100 is a medium sized water blaster used as a primary weapon in light-medium and even higher end water fights. These days most water guns are piston based, but this one is one of few that is air pressurized, wich makes it an instant win in my books. That said, its not to say this gun is perfect, ad is does have a few small problems. Here is a list of its pros and cons:
Pros:
1) Very nice retro design and colours.
2) Easy to use, with a good grip and is still not that heavy.
3) Pretty decent water output (1X nozzle), with some nice range and with quite a consistant stream that does not lose much power over time. I would say that it has the perfect ammount of output to not completely soak someone, but at the same time, you will definitely feel it whe getting hit by it.
4) Good enough reservoir capacity, meaning you won’t need to constantly be near a water supply.
Cons:
1) While 8 seconds of shot time is not bad, i would have liked at least 10. The same can be said for the shot output, that is much less compared to its smaller brother XP50-ap. At the same time, this makes it so you can’t quickly consume all the water in the tank, increasing the durability before needing to reload.
2) After reaching a certain pressure level, similarly to the XP20-ap and XP30-ap, a small stream of water starts coming out of the nozzle even if you don’t pull the trigger, making you waste water and making you incapable of increasing much further the pressure level. At the same time there is to say that this is a safety mechanism that was made so that there aren’t any chances or the tank exploding due to too much pressure (something that was reported to occasionally happen in the original super soaker 100 in the 90s). That said, i still would have preferred to have a mechanism that let out the excessive air instead of pushing out the water.
One last thing to note that is not necessairly a con is that, differently from the super soaker XP50-ap, XP30-ap and XP20-ap, the water is picked up from a long tube in the far end of the front of the tank, meaning that when pumping (especially when the tank is low on water) you need to tilt the blaster facing downwards. However, differently from the others, after you pumped the water, you don’t need to keep it facing down to shoot, as the water gets trasferred to a different chamber from wich it then gets fired out (the pressure chamber).
Weapon statistics:
Tank capacity: 1310 ml
Max range at 45°: 9-10 meters
Max range aiming flat: 7 meters
Effective range (the max range you will actually be able to get a decent hit on someone): 8.5-9 meters
Shot time: 8 seconds, all at effective range, 6 at max range
Shot output: 180ml
Average output per second: 22.5 ml/s (*note: this value is the average over the full 8 seconds, meaning that the actual value is slightly more in the first 4 seconds and slightly less in the second 4).
Conclusions:
The XP 100 is, in my opinion, the all round best water blaster that was made by Hasbro in the last 10-15 years, able to be used both in small, medium and even more intense and prolonged water fights. However you still need to be aware that you could still be outclassed by any people that still own a SC, and heavily outclassed by any CPS super soaker, and even just talking about modern water guns, there are still some that can outclass the XP 100 such as the Soakzooka and Hydra, wich with their thick blasts of water will completely soak you, as well as most Spyra blasters, that will outrange the XP 100. This means you still need to be aware of what you enemy is using. Overall i reccomend this blaster to everyone, as it is a great option that will allow you to stand you own in basically any modern water fight (since CPS and SC super soakers are getting rarer every year), and i would say a good deal would be if you find it anywhere around 30 bucks or less.
