While some other sites had managed to get similar information early, for those who have not already seen, Hasbro Inc. is releasing a number of new Nerf Super Soaker water blasters for 2011.
There are 5 new soakers in all:
- Nerf Super Soaker Hydro Cannon
- Nerf Super Soaker Point Break
- Nerf Super Soaker Scatter Blast
- Nerf Super Soaker Thunderstorm
- Nerf Super Soaker Tornado Strike
Nerf Super Soaker Hydro Cannon
The Super Soaker Hydro Cannon is the largest of the 2011 Super Soaker line. It is said to be able to produce "a massive burst of water" and has a reported range of 35'. It also includes a detachable shield accessory and should retail for $24.99 USD.
Nerf Super Soaker Point Break
The Super Soaker Point Break is the smallest of the 2011 Super Soaker line. Its product description states: "Using pump to fire action", thus this blaster may be pump action as opposed to pressurized. It does, however, sport a trigger, so there is still a chance it is actually pressurized. Suggested retail price is $6.99 USD.
Nerf Super Soaker Scatter Blast
The Super Soaker Scatter Blast is an interesting member of the 2011 Super Soaker line. It is pump action and features 5 nozzles that shoot simultaneously, likely resulting in a shot-gun effect. Range is reported at 25'. Suggested retail price is $9.99 USD.
Nerf Super Soaker Thunderstorm
The Super Soaker Thunderstorm is the battery-operated motorized blaster of the 2011 Super Soaker line. It requires 4 AA batteries to operate. It also makes use of the new Nerf Super Soaker Clip System, allowing one to swap in water clips as needed. Additional clips can be purchased separately. Suggested retail price of the Super Soaker Thunderstorm is $14.99 USD.
Nerf Super Soaker Tornado Strike
The Super Soaker Tornado Strike is the last of the water blasters in the 2011 Super Soaker line. It appears to be a redesigned Super Soaker Helix that can also make use of the new Nerf Super Soaker Clip System. From its product description, it uses a "unique rotating barrel twists the stream of water as you blast, creating a spinning helix of H2O power". It comes with a detachable stock as well. Suggest retail price is $19.99 USD.
Nerf Super Soaker Clip System Refills
As noted above, a number of blasters in the 2011 Super Soaker line make use of the new Nerf Super Soaker Clips. Clips (technically magazines) can be filled and sealed, automatically opening when attached to blasters that use them. They also sport a belt clip to make it easier to carry extra while on the run. Clips can be bought separately. Suggested retail price is $3.99 USD.
