Review by Justin Bruett:
The pic of squeeze bulb water pistols were made by ELVIN and called AQUA - GUN. The manufacturer's name is molded into the squeeze bulb handles. The red one has "MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN" cast into the metal. The green one only says "MADE IN JAPAN". Both I would guess to be ca. mid-1940s.
Included are pictures showing:
- length: just under 6"
- weight: just under 2 ounces dry
- capacity: just under 2 fluid ounces
Internal tube with barb end attaches to bulb and small pinhole aperture other end. I would assume bulb is of a rubber compound still pliable after all these years although doubtful if they would last for too many more uses. I always removed bulb to squeeze refill from water source. One could leave the bulb attached to fill and it would probably last longer because of the design (slipping bulb on and off barb would eventually cause bigger hole and leakage). I haven't used them for many years.
