The Super Soaker Max-D 3000 is a good, light side-arm released for the 2002 soaker season. This blaster is a larger version of the Super Soaker Max-D 2000, holding more water and pushing out water with more force than its smaller brother. The blaster has a sloping, opaque water reservoir with a tethered cap making filling a little tricky. It is not recommendable to completely fill the reservoir as this prevents the blaster from storing an adequate amount of pressure to keep the water stream going for long. However, as with all Max-D Series blasters, the output on the blaster is rather remarkable for its size. The trigger unleashes the stream with a click, snapping the nozzle open and closed upon releasing. Pumping the Max-D 3000 is quite easy to get it up to firing pressure. However, one major complaint on this blaster's design is the small enclosed area surrounding the trigger. The space here is small, making it difficult to hold this blaster comfortably if one has larger hands.
Overall, the Super Soaker Max-D 3000 makes a great side-arm so long as one feels comfortable holding this blaster. Not recommended as a primary blaster unless in a small skirmish, the Max-D 3000 can be great for sneak attacks or as a last-resort blaster when trying to get one's main blaster refilled.
Pros
Small, light, easy to carry. Good power for its size. Reservoir allows virtually all of its water to be used.
Cons
Small blaster means limited water available. Trigger-grip area small and possibly uncomfortable to use for those with larger hands.
