The Water Warriors Harpoon is a new pump-action water blaster from Buzz Bee Toys Inc. for 2015. It is presently being sold as a two-pack (though may be available individually in the future. In many respects, the Water Warriors Harpoon is a minimalistic version of the Water Warriors Gargoyle (2013).
The Blaster ::
Nozzles ::
The Water Warriors Harpoon has a single, small nozzle.Being a pump-action water blaster, the Water Warriors Harpoon blasts with each pump, meaning that continuous streams are not possible. Streams are on the thinner side, but this is also not a particularly large blaster..
Pump ::
The pump for the Water Warriors Harpoon occupies the front third of the water blaster. The actual pumping mechnism's housing becomes partially visible when extended. Each pump pushes a small amount of water, better than most trigger-based blasters, but low for typical pump-action water blasters..
Grip ::
The trigger and grip area on the Water Warriors Harpoon are minimally sculpted, but comfortable to use. The open based grip accomodates hands of any size. Unlike the Water Warriors Drench Master, there is no true false trigger, but the grip is shaped with a trigger-like extension. Interestingly, the rear grip is not part of the reservoir.
The Reservoir ::
The reservoir for the Water Warriors Harpoon holds a respectable amount of water for its size. Given the amount of water pushed per pump, the reservoir holds enough for over 100 full shots.. The reservoir cap, while tethered, is a snap-cap. Moreover, its single hole air inlet may dribble slightly when the water blaster is pointed upwards.
Overall ::
In the end, the Water Warriors Harpoon is a decent light-weight pump-action water blaster. Recommended for younger water blaster users, the Water Warriors Harpoon makes for a good light-hearted water fight on a sunny day, but do not expect it to hold ground against larger pump-action water blasters or any type of pressurized water blaster.
Pros
Decent build; decent capacity for its size; simple operation; comes in packages of two (2) water blasters.
Cons
Pump-action means continuous streams not possible; volume pusher per pump on the lower side; reservoir cap may dribble if water blaster pointed at more extreme angles.
