Welcome again to iSoaker.com!
If it all looks the same at present, that's perfect. The difference here is not visible, but rather the unseen. In short, I just finished a process I began at the end of January, 2014, but had been considering and thinking about for a least 3+ years - iSoaker.com now lives on an upgraded server. The biggest challenge with full site migration is trying to ensure a seamless transition between the old and new servers. I first consolidated where I managed all the domain names I have registered to a single Registrar. From there, I had the new server set-up and begin running lots of tests (and thankfully so) to troubleshoot any potential hitches in the migration. There were some configuration issues that took over a week to find a solution for. That meant keep track to two mirrored "iSoaker.com"-content sites for the past month. I then set up a new database and ensured all that worked. Then, when all seemed ready, got help from my host's great tech-support for the final phase.
The switch over happened about an hour ago to when I'm typing this. That said, all seems good and I hope that, at some future point, it will be easier to do a site migration than this. Of course, with the internet and web-based technologies, one never knows. For now, presuming all runs as well as it seems to be, I can focus back on content creation as opposed to all this back-end configuration challenges.
