The Super Soaker Max-D 4000 is a slightly larger version of the Super Soaker Max-D 3000. As such, it shares the Super Soaker Max-D 3000's strengths and weaknesses nearly verbatim. The reservoir holds a little more water than the Super Soaker Max-D 3000's reservoir, but is also opaque making it hard to know when to stop filling. The cap on the reservoir is tethered and fastens quite snugly when attached. Pumping the Max-D 4000 is quick and easy. The stream output is a little stronger and more solid than either the Super Soaker Max-D 2000 or Super Soaker Max-D 3000. However, firing time is limited simple due to the fact that this is still a relatively small blaster. Like the Super Soaker Max-D 3000, the Max-D 4000 also suffers from space constraints in the trigger-grip region. Those with larger hands may find holding the Max-D 4000 uncomfortable, something to consider before purchasing this blaster.
However, for those who can use it, the Super Soaker Max-D 4000 performs quite well and would hold up in any small skirmish or as a decent back-up blaster. Just don't go facing off against someone using a CPS-class blaster.
Pros
Small, light, easy to carry. Pumping is quick and simply. Power is very good for a blaster of this size.
Cons
Small blaster means limited water available. Trigger-grip area confining and may be uncomfortable for those with larger hands.
